Starring: Richa Chadda, Huma Quereshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jameel Khan, Zeishan Quadri and Aditya Kumar
Director: Anurag Kashyap
The director of Dark cinema Anurag Kasyap is riding high with the first day response for his latest flick. Yes, after the success of the Gangs of Wasseypur, the much awaited movie, GOW2 hits the big screen.
The movie carries on from the vengeance murder mystery of the Sardar Khan portrayed by Manoj Bajpai. His son Faizal represented by Nawazuddin Siddiqui wants to abolish Ramadhir singh played by Tigmanshu Singh the murderer of his father. Many fighting scenes are seen in the first half but we can see some romantic scenes in the second half. Faizal starts falling for Mohnisha played by Huma Quereshi.
The first film has many characters but the second one includes some of them. The comic elements are also finding in the character of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He even kills persons if he doesn’t like his behavior. He kills his father’s murderer with madness.
This movie is better than the first one from many aspects. The first part consist a lot of characters and half of its time is wasted in introducing them. Many events and elements were presented at the same time that was the weak point of the first film which has not seen in this film.
The every character plays their role very well. But Nawazuddin Siddiqui steals the show with his performance. Richa Chadda looks impressive in her extroverted character. Monisha’s performance is also good.
The music is also consummated with the scenes. Sneha Khanwalkar’s music remains in the mind till the end of the film. Shweta Venkat Matthew disappoints with her editing. Excellent cinematography is done by Rajeev Ravi. Action scenes are also good. That is directed by Shyam Kaushal.
Good: overwhelming performance by actors and exciting music
Bad: Over fighting and action scenes with many sub-plots and layers
Verdict: Good for the persons who like to watch action movies.
